About the Business
Since 1967, Interior Community Services (ICS) has been a cornerstone of support, early intervention, and crisis intervention programs in Kamloops and beyond. As a registered charitable organization with CARF accreditation, ICS is dedicated to enriching lives and strengthening communities across the interior of British Columbia. With offices in Kamloops and Merritt, and programming extending to Barriere, Gold Trail, the Cariboo, and the Kootenays, ICS is deeply rooted in the region, offering a diverse range of services. From counseling to subsidized housing, ICS serves children, youth, families, and seniors, ensuring that over 1,000 individuals and families receive vital support daily.
Goals
Developing the branding for Interior Community Services was a process deeply rooted in strategic thinking and creative exploration. The goal was to capture the essence of community, inclusivity, support, and empowerment, aligning closely with ICS's vision and mission.
Drawing inspiration from ICS's long-standing commitment to enriching lives and fostering a vision where people of all abilities live to their fullest potential, we crafted a brand identity that embodies these values. The focus was on creating a cohesive and professional visual presence that resonates with their diverse audience and underscores their dedication to inclusivity and the celebration of diversity.
The brand strategy development involved an in-depth analysis of ICS's target audience, unique selling points, and the competitive landscape. This informed the decision-making process for typography, color palettes, and visual motifs, ensuring that every aspect of the branding resonated with the intended audience and differentiated ICS from other community service organizations.
Through thoughtful typography, vibrant color palettes, and modern visual motifs, the brand radiates a sense of warmth, engagement, and approachability, while highlighting the active and supportive nature of ICS's programs and services. The visual identity is designed to be both playful and professional, reflecting ICS's welcoming and inclusive brand personality.
