Brand Strategy, Visual Identity & Launch Assets

Grocer & Grub was created to bring together fresh meals, baking, pantry goods, and specialty products under one community-focused brand. The goal was to develop an identity that felt approachable, memorable, and full of character while remaining flexible enough to support everything from packaging and merchandise to social media and storefront signage.

Working closely with the owner, we developed a complete brand system designed to stand out on the shelf, build recognition, and support the business from launch onward.

Building the Brand Direction


Before visual design began, we focused on defining the personality behind the brand.

The goal was to create something friendly, memorable, and full of character while avoiding the generic look often seen in grocery and food retail branding. Every design decision was built around making the brand feel approachable, community-driven, and unmistakably Grocer & Grub.

From typography and colour selection to illustration style and brand voice, every element was chosen to create a system that could flex across food categories, packaging, merchandise, signage, and digital marketing.

Visual Identity System


The visual identity combines bold typography with playful custom illustrations to create a brand that's instantly recognizable.

A complete logo suite was developed, including primary logos, secondary marks, icons, badges, and supporting graphics that can be used across every customer touchpoint.

The illustrated mascot became a central brand asset, helping add personality and recognition across packaging, merchandise, social media, and promotional materials.

Brand In Use


A great brand needs to work everywhere.

From coffee cups and tote bags to social content, apparel, and in-store materials, the Grocer & Grub identity was designed as a flexible system that remains consistent while adapting to a wide variety of applications.

Every asset was created to support launch-day visibility while helping establish long-term recognition as the business grows.
